Amanda Rubi Wallace

Amanda Rubi Wallace is receiving an Associate of Arts in General Academics.

When asked about her success, Amanda says, “First of all, I want to thank God. I also want to thank my family, my husband and my son for encouraging me to keep fighting for my dreams. Thank you for being there for me!”

Amanda plans to continue her education while pursuing a nursing degree at MCC.

Brooklyn Kate Lopez

Brooklyn Kate Lopez is receiving an Associate of Arts with Field of Study in Nursing.

When asked what influenced her academic success, Brooklyn says, “My parents consistently provided encouragement for me to achieve my academic goals and constantly supported me through this chapter in my life. My sister has also provided exemplary standards of academic and personal discipline, and I wouldn’t be where I am without her.”

Brooklyn plans to continue her education at the Texas A&M University School of Nursing.

Jaykob David Stickels

Jaykob David Stickels is receiving an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems – Network Administration with Cybersecurity.

When asked what influenced his academic success, David says, “My parents telling me I could do it, Akanksha inspiring me to do it, my professors helping me do it, and the Army for giving me the work ethic and determination to complete the mission.” Jaykob plans to continue obtaining cybersecurity certifications and pursue a career as a cybersecurity professional in Katy, Texas.

Leonardo Vazquez-Olguin Jr.

Leonardo Vazquez-Olguin Jr. is receiving an Associate of Arts with Field of Study in Business Administration & Management.

When asked about his success, Leonardo says, “I would like to thank my parents Noemi Olguin and Leonardo Vazquez for always supporting me and allowing me to continue to study, and all of my siblings for being a headache but also my motivation to keep improving, my grandparents for looking over me, and all the rest of my family for everything. I would also like to thank all of my professors since they all have provided valuable and unforgettable experience. Professor Webb, Professor Wilson, Professor Ramon, Professor Blaskiewicz, and Professor Shiu have left the greatest impact on my college career as well as in my life in general.”

Leonardo plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in management information systems at Tarleton State University-Waco.
