Planning to transfer after attending McLennan Community College?  You are invited to attend any and all events listed below in which you are interested.  You will encounter helpful information about transferring – directly from each school!

Transfer Saturdays (In Person): Take a tour of campus, discuss the transfer process, and review scholarship information with our transfer admissions counselors.

Wildcat Preview Days (In Person): Wildcat Preview Days are the best way to get a glimpse of all the action at ACU. In addition to meeting with Admissions and the campus tour, you’ll attend special interest sessions of your choice. Offerings include: Center for Pre-Health Professions, Music Ensembles, Honors College, Short-Term Missions, Study Abroad, Student Life and more. These large visit experiences also include scheduled open houses such as Freshmen Residence Halls, Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center and the Maker Lab for students to explore. Wildcat Preview Days are open to all transfers and high school students and their families.

Discovery Days (In Person): Discovery Day is a great introduction to ACU. Featuring a strengths-finding and major discovery workshop to help you discover a way forward to success, this visit day also offers multiple opportunities to experience life as a Wildcat.

Transfer Admission Requirements

Commercial Aviation Program: Students can now earn a Bachelor of Commercial Aviation (B.C.A.) with the choice between two degree tracks - Flight Operations and Aviation Administration. Whether it's in the air or on the ground, students will graduate prepared to enter the exciting career field of commercial aviation.  ASU students in the Commercial Aviation program will have access to our state-of-the-art flight simulators and professional pilot training at nearby Skyline Aviation. Fun Fridays with ASU's Transfer Student Ambassadors: Join our transfer student ambassadors — current students who all transferred to ASU — to learn things about ASU that other webinars can't offer. As they share their transfer journeys, tips, and what they've learned as a transfer student, you'll benefit from their first-hand experience at ASU and become even better prepared for your own transfer. If you haven't already signed up for MyPath2ASU, our amazing transfer pathway tool that outlines a clear pathway from your college or university to ASU, the TSAs will also demonstrate how the tool works and guide you through the sign up process.

Register for "Get on the Bus" trip to Baylor for MCC Students, Friday May 3: Participants will receive a free t-shirt, beverage, Dr. Pepper float, and lunch in Penland hall in addition to the campus tour and opportunity to talk with transfer counselors, etc.  Additionally, a $1000 scholarship will be offered to students who transfer to Baylor in Fall 2024.

Transfer Fridays: As a transfer student you have unique questions and concerns when looking for your next college home. Transfer Fridays are a great time to meet virtually with Admissions staff, engage with other prospective students, and experience what it's like to be a student at Baylor!

Cowboy Previews: Cowboy Previews are the best way to experience HSU.  During your visit you will have the opportunity to explore campus, meet current students, talk with your admission counselor, checkout the HSU bookstore, and experience campus life.  Previews are for high school students and transfer students.  Admission to the HSU Honors Program requires approval by the Honors Council.  If you scored at least a 25 on your ACT or a 1200 on your SAT or a 78 on your CLT, we invite you to apply for Honors and join us for Honors Preview.

Third Thursday Freshman Webinar SeriesTake part in webinars on a variety of admissions and OSU topics on the third Thursday of each month. We also offer a Transfer Webinar Series geared for students planning to transfer from another institution.  Learn about campus resources, transfer credit guides and transfer student life at OSU.

Transfer Webinar Series:

Weekday In-Person Tours: We offer limited weekday tours at 9:30 a.m., with an additional tour on Fridays at 1:30 p.m. Tailor your #okstate campus tour to your interests! Connect with a representative from your academic area of interest through a majors session, schedule an appointment with the Honors College or meet with the Office of Multicultural Affairs. You can also participate in an optional tour of our athletic facilities.  Campus tours last approximately two hours and are led by current OSU students. Wear good walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.

Transfer Tours, In-Person Walking Tours, Self-Guided Walking Tours, Spanish Tours, and Live Virtual Campus Tours:

  • Transfer Tours: A transfer student is an applicant pursing a bachelor's degree with more than 12 hours of college-level credit from a community college or other institution. Explore the process of transferring to Sam Houston State University, find out about the resources available to you and get connected.
  • In-Person Walking Tours last approximately 4 hours and include an enrollment presentation, a walking tour (1 hour 15 minutes) and an optional Residence Life tour (1 hour 30 minutes).
  • Self-Guided Walking Tours: Self-Guided walking tours are for students and guests from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm during weekdays. You can show up at the Visitor Center anytime within the hours previously listed to start your tour. The full tour is 1.74 miles and takes about 65 minutes, however your map will also indicate shorter routes if needed.  Please Note: you WILL have to PAY for parking during your visit.
  • Spanish Tours: Las giras son virtuales y en persona del campus para los futuros estudiantes, sus amigos, y sus familias es provisto por nuestros “SAMbassadors" amigables. Ven a ver porque nuestros SAMbassadors escogieron SHSU!
  • Live Virtual Campus Tours: These tours will be hosted via Zoom. You’ll meet with a full-time staff member and have a Sambassador show you around campus and answer all of your questions.

SMU Transfer Preview Day (In Person): Transfer students will get an up-close, personal look at SMU.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and the program will include information sessions about the admission process, financial aid, transfer scholarships, student life, and academic programs. There will also be a student panel with current transfer students, and attendees will receive an application fee waiver!

Transfer Fridays and Academic College Sessions : Transfer Fridays are designed specifically for Transfer students.  If you are considering transferring to SMU, we highly encourage you to sign up for one of these specialized visits.  Learn about the transfer admission process, meet with a transfer admission counselor, take a campus tour, and attend an academic session geared towards your major.

Saturdays at Southwestern (In Person): These events are for any prospective student interested in Southwestern. The visit consists of an information session covering topics such as our unique Paideia curriculum, the application process, scholarships, and need-based financial aid, followed by a campus tour, focusing on different areas of campus life and academics. Pirate Previews (In Person): Take a deep dive into the Southwestern Experience! During this event, you will have the opportunity to attend classes, engage with faculty, tour campus, and participate in a variety of informative panel discussions designed to help you better understand the multiple facets of the Southwestern Experience. This 30-minute presentation will be followed by a 90-minute tour will highlight campus hotspots as well as academic colleges relevant to your field of study.

Honors College Overview & Tour (In Person): Join the Honors College Student Recruitment Team for an overview of opportunities available through the Honors experience, including academics, student life, engagement, and admissions. Representatives will answer questions and provide a tour of the Honors College. Then, join a UH ambassador for a walking tour of campus, which includes a sneak peek into Cougar Village 2, our most popular residence hall.

Cougar Preview (In Person): Cougar Preview is the University of Houston's official open house, usually held in the spring and fall. This is a day filled with answers to your questions about admission requirements, degree plans, scholarships and financial aid opportunities, and campus housing.

Transfer Debut (In Person) - Learn what it's like to transfer to UNT! Chat with Admissions Counselors, Academic Advisors, College Recruiters and student representatives to get all of your questions answered. At this FREE in-person event, you'll have the opportunity to explore 113 majors, meet with financial aid, and meet current UNT students.  Event attendees who apply on-site in our application lab will also receive a waiver of their $75 application fee. (Must apply on-site on event day and complete our feedback survey. No retroactive fee waivers will be granted for applications already submitted.

UNT Preview (In Person) - UNT Preview is a university-wide open house event designed for high school juniors, high school seniors, and transfer students.  At this conference-style event, attendees will have numerous opportunities to attend sessions led by faculty and staff from academic departments, tour our campus, learn about the application processes for admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and housing, meet current student organizations, and much more. (This event is free to attend and open to all undergraduate prospective students and their families.)

Register for Sooner Saturday: Apr. 20, 7 am-Noon: Join us for OU's largest open house event for high school juniors and transfer students! At Sooner Saturday, you will learn more about our amazing campus during opening session with OU's President Joseph Harroz Jr. You will also have the opportunity to go on a campus tour, view our various living communities, explore the academic programs on campus, engage with student organizations, and learn about campus resources.

Virtual Tours & Info Sessions:

Sower's Day: For first-generation, rural high school seniors & college transfer students and their families/supporters. You will learn more about how OU will help you "sow the seeds" for your future as a student here and beyond. Whether you are the first in your family to attend college, from a rural community, or looking to transfer to OU, you have the ability to thrive on our campus and impact not only your community, but also the world. You will hear from faculty from your area of academic interest, learn about paths to affordability, and engage with current students, faculty, and staff at OU.

Transfer Visit FridaysDuring each visit day, college transfer students can explore campus and all the possibilities OU has to offer. You'll learn how to successfully transfer to OU, receive transfer scholarship information, engage with your transfer admissions counselor, and have the opportunity to attend an in-depth academic session.

Scholars' Day: For high school seniors with 3.75+ unweighted GPA and/or a 28+ ACT or 1300+ SAT and college transfers with a 3.25 GPA or higher and at least 24 non-remedial credit hours. Scholars' Day allows students to explore the premier academic opportunities, engage with our Honors College and the many research opportunities, meet with study abroad advisors, and more! Join the Office of Admissions & Recruitment so we can showcase how you can leave your mark on our community, both inside and outside the classroom.

Chat with a current OU student: Every weekday beginning around 11 am you can chat about academics, campus life, and so much more!You can also schedule a one-on-one virtual meeting  with a current student.

Maverick Experience (In Person) - a full-day event (8 am-3 pm) for freshmen and transfer students to learn about UTA's academics, admissions, financial aid, scholarships, resources, student life, and more! You'll have the opportunity to take a campus tour and check out UTA's residence halls and apartments. The Academic and Student Life Fair will also give you the chance to chat one-on-one with representatives from campus support services, clubs and organizations, and academic departments. In addition, you can meet with an Admission Counselor to complete your application or check your application status. Lunch is provided by UTA for you and your guests.  A detailed confirmation email will be sent two business days before the event date. UTA My Way - UTA My Way celebrates the rich diversity of our students in Maverick Country! The event is open to all incoming freshman and transfer students and features guests who will share their perspectives on the University’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity. The event will offer information sessions with our Admissions and Financial Aid offices and a panel discussion with inclusive  student leaders from the University. Students attending the program will be eligible to be entered into drawings for a chance to win UTA swag or an exclusive scholarship award.  Bring canned food items for the Maverick Pantry for additional entries into the scholarship drawing! *Application fees are waived for new freshman and transfer applications excluding the AO Nursing program.

"Ticket to Transfer" Transfer Tours (In Person) - Transfer tours are for future transfer students. During this tour, transfer students will receive a 30-minute transfer admissions presentation followed by a 90-minute campus tour. The tour will highlight resources and facilities.  After the campus tour concludes, an admissions application station will be available to assist you with applying or completing your application. Each tour will last approximately two hours.
