McLennan Community College Annual Report

Marketing & Communications (MARCOM) is responsible for creating and maintaining a consistent, positive, and dynamic public image of McLennan Community College by administrating strategic public relations, communications, and marketing activities.

Communications

MARCOM creates all major communication vehicles for MCC including:

Marketing/Advertising

MARCOM also creates all of the College’s major marketing materials including print and online advertisements, program brochures, direct mail pieces, website content and photos, and much more. The team develops an advertising campaign each year that aligns with College’s annual priorities for the academic year. Some examples of media used annually include advertising on local TV stations and TV service providers, radio stations, digital media, social media, outdoor, printed publications, and much more.

Media Relations

MARCOM is responsible for distributing news to local media outlets through press/news releases, story pitches, and face-to-face interviews.

Guide to MCC for the Media

One important role of MCC’s MARCOM department is to serve as official spokespeople for the College and act as liaisons between MCC and the local and national media. MARCOM works to secure media coverage for MCC events and accomplishments, help members of the campus community respond to media inquiries and publicize MCC news by writing stories and submitting press releases on a daily and weekly basis.

If you do not see a form for the project you would like to request, you may choose the form you feel is closest to your request or you may email marcom@mclennan.edu with as many details as possible.
