Servicemembers Opportunity College

MCC is a Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC) campus, as designated by the Association of American State Colleges and Universities. As an SOC campus, MCC is committed to meet four SOC criteria:

• Accept a reasonable transfer of credit to avoid excessive loss of previously earned credit and avoid course work duplication.
• Reduce the academic residency requirement to no more than 25 percent of degree requirements or 30 percent for degrees offered completely online with no final year or semester in residence.
• Use the ACE Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services to evaluate and award academic credit for military training experience.
• Award credit for nationally recognized testing programs.
