Professional Development Committees

Professional Development Committee:

The Professional Development Committee serves as an advisory committee for Professional Development Days and selects recipients for the National Institute for Staff & Organizational Development (NISOD) Annual Excellence Awards.

The Committee consists of twelve members;  three faculty members selected from Workforce & Public Service and Health Professions; three faculty members from Arts & Sciences; three members from the Administrative/Professional Staff; and three members from the Support Staff.  A member from the office of Professional & Organizational Development serves as ex-officio member to the Committee. Each committee member serves a term of two years.

Scholar Day Committee:

Professional and Organizational Development (POD) is proud to host Scholar Day at the conclusion of each long semester (fall and spring). Scholar Day serves as a formal showcase of McLennan Community College students’ academic and creative work. This event is open to students, employees, and members of the public.

The Scholar Day Committee is a volunteer body composed of dedicated faculty and staff who work collaboratively to support the students, programs, and activities associated with Scholar Day. The committee is committed to fostering an environment that highlights student achievement and promotes a culture of learning, engagement, and academic excellence.
