Paraprofessional Institute

Paraprofessional (Teacher Aide) Institute

The Paraprofessional Institute course prepares individuals to become a paraprofessional/instructional aide. Upon successfully completing the course and passing the final exam, candidates will receive a certificate of completion.  The Educational Aide certification on the SBEC website can only be issued by an employing school district.  Depending on your experience and qualifications, school districts may require you to complete a training course in order for them to certify you.

The course will provide candidates with strategies and tools to aid students who have different needs with reading, writing, and mathematics.
